2011 Baseball Season

The 2011 baseball season is just about over but it looks like the season is going to end with some fireworks. Two of the most prolific teams in the league were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by smaller market teams. The New York Yankees were beaten by the Detroit Tigers, who haven’t had a winning season in several years. The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Philadelphia Phillies, who have the best pitching staff in the league. The Tampa Bay Rays were put out by the Texas rangers. Less than a year ago, the Rangers were bankrupt with the league giving them money just so they could have a season. It looks like there will be a surprise underdog winning the World Series this year. It will be an interesting October.
